Scattered throughout the city you will find attractions such as Roman Forum and the Saint Dinatus Basilica from the 9th century. A unique attraction in Zadar is the sea organ. This unusual stone organ runs stepwise into the sea and is driven by the wind and the sea. The sea breeze pushes through the whistles, a series of melancholy chords are played and the sound comes through the perforated stone staircase. One has to hear it to believe it! Do not miss the Kalelagra, the city’s lively neigbourhood with nice shops and cozy cafés! Via the hinterland, which is remarkably flat in contrast to the rest of Dalmatia, we drive to the National Park Krka. The park consists of a long river, several smaller lakes and no less than 7 waterfalls. The waterfalls with limestone terraces alternate with rapids, tranquil lakes and special flora.

The old city centre, enclosed by ramparts and rich in palaces and churches, resembles a true open-air museum. The well-preserved historic city centre with the Cathedral of Sv. Lovro is on the UNESCO World’s Heritage list. Split is not far from Trogir. The city is beautifully situated on a peninsula and is one of the largest ports on the Adriatic. Split is known for the remains of the in 305 completed palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian. The graceful promenade along the harbour and the wooded hill Marjan next to the city centre are also worth a visit.
